Jim is a founding shareholder of McKay Wealth Management and McKay Retirement Consultants. He is passionate about helping clients in reaching their long-term financial objectives. Jim is a strong believer that achieving financial goals hinges on having the right plan - a plan that fits the client’s unique circumstances and grows with them. Jim’s greatest strength is listening to and understanding his client’s needs, wants, and wishes, to help them work toward their financial goals and minimize taxes through tax-efficient solutions.  His ability to design and use tax-deductible programs to accomplish succession and retirement goals sets him apart from others in the industry.

Jim has been in the financial services industry since 1981 and established the business succession and retirement plan departments. Jim is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), maintains the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation and is an Investment Advisor Representative with Cetera Advisor Networks LLC.

Kelly joined McKay Retirement Consultants in 2015 and brings a wealth of knowledge in the ERISA-based retirement plan space. Prior to joining the firm, Kelly spent several years working for a retirement plan consulting firm where she worked with large corporate retirement plans throughout the country and provided clients with plan design assistance, investment selection and customized participant communication and education.

Kelly has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Washington and holds Series 7 & 66 registrations. With her focus on business retirement planning, she is an active member of the National Association of Pension Advisors, Women In Pension Network and has obtained her Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM (CRPS®), Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA), and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designations.

Tony has over 30 years of experience in banking and investments beginning his career in consumer finance at Puget Sound Bank where he completed the management training program. After leaving Puget Sound Bank, Tony managed the Western Washington regional call center for KeyBank. In 2000, Tony transitioned to Russell Investments to pursue a career in personal investments.

At Russell, Tony supervised the transfer agent support team and handled exception processing for broker-dealers and advisor clients. In 2007, Tony obtained his Series 7 and 63 registrations in order to assist Russell employees with their personal investment accounts. Tony left Russell shortly after their relocation to Seattle and is now doing what he loves: helping people improve their financial security as a client service associate with our firm.

Tony was born in Fircrest and has lived in University Place for 27 years, just a golf club's swing down the first fairway from his childhood home. He attended both Bellarmine Prep and Western Washington University, where he studied business management. Tony’s favorite vacation spot is Maui where he visits annually with his wife of 29 years, Deborah. They are proud parents of a Shih-Tzu/Maltase mix, Mandy who is 9 years young.

Barbara joined the McKay Retirement Consultant family in May of 2019.  Barbara is the “behind the scene person” that helps with day-to-day documentation and reports.  

Prior to joining the team Barbara spent many years with ING/Voya in their Financial Services Division as their office manager.  The office serviced the 403(b) and 457 employer groups and their employees.   Most recently Barbara worked for one of the leading insurance services companies in McMinnville, OR selling individual, family and Medicare Plans.  She holds her Life & Health Licenses in Oregon.

Barbara graduated from Oregon State University and lives in McMinnville, OR.  She enjoys gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family.
